CRM the Holy Grail

How many marketing departments thought CRM was the Holy Grail?
I would guess quite a few.
The real question is how many people are using it properly and how many people have forgot to do the spade work before hand.
For me CRM is the final piece of the jigsaw and not the first. You need to build a culture based around the customer and create a product that resonates in your market space and delivers value right across the business.
Are you there yet?
Just because you know your customer doesn't mean they like you or want to do business with you.
A perfect example is my wife has a 360 degree view of me but that doesn't mean she likes me either!
